Are pets allowed on Kiawah Island beaches?
Yes, dogs are allowed on Kiawah Island beaches! From March 16th – October 31st, pets must be leashed at all times. November 1st – March 15th, pets are allowed to be off leash from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. everywhere on the beach except in the critical habitat area. Pets must be leashed from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. Owners must remain with their pet, have the pet under control, and have possession of the leash. Be sure to review the Town of Kiawah Island's dog laws prior to taking your furry friend to the beach.
Do I need to notify the rental agency about bringing a pet?

Are there dog-friendly parks or trails on Kiawah Island?
Yes! Dog-friendly parks include Night Heron Park and Beachwalker Park. Take your pup for a nice walk on any of the 30 miles of bike paths on Kiawah Island along with the Ocean Course Loop with beautiful ocean views.
