Julia Hester

Julia Hester was born in Suffolk, VA and was raised in the Richmond area. As a seasoned sales professional, she brings a wealth of expertise to Akers Ellis. Since beginning her real estate career in 2001, she has been recognized as a Distinguished Achiever by the Richmond Association of Realtors and recognized by Joyner Fine Properties as a Top 10 Team member during her tenure there.

Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Julia worked in pharmaceutical sales, physician relations, and business development. Julia holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Julia relocated to the area in 2022 and earned her South Carolina Real Estate License in 2023. Having recently sold her home and moved from Virginia to South Carolina, Julia offers a unique perspective for buyers and sellers in addition to her decades of sales experience.

She resides in Charleston with her husband, Jerry, and has a college-aged son and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, playing tennis, cooking, oil painting, and being with her family at the beach.
