Take advantage of special beach gear and bike credit! This Kiawah Island vacation rental features 4 bedrooms, a screened porch, and a spacious back deck. Conveniently located on Governors Drive, the main thoroughfare in Vanderhorst Plantation, the home is a 7-minute bike ride to the beach.

Upon entering the property, you’ll find exquisite finishes, accentuated hardwood flooring, high ceilings, and an abundance of natural light. In the main living area, you will find upscale and comfortable seating, a queen-sized sleeper sofa, a large flat-screen TV, and sliding door access to the back deck. The fully equipped kitchen offers large counter space and a center island with barstool seating. The dining area serves as the perfect entertainment space as it offers scenic views, ample seating, access to the wine refrigerator, and is in close proximity to the kitchen. You will also find comfortable, additional seating towards the end of the dining area as well as access to the screened porch.

You will also find a first-floor, half-bathroom that is accessible down the hall.

The first-floor primary bedroom features a flat-screen TV, sliding door access to the deck, and a king-sized bed with notable bedding. It also features a private bathroom with a double sink vanity, a walk-in shower, and a bathtub.

The second bedroom is found on the second floor. It features a king-sized bed, a TV, balcony access with scenic views, and a private bathroom. The second bathroom offers a shower and bathtub combination.

The third bedroom is also found on the second floor and is perfect for kids as it offers a queen-sized bed and a college twin-sized bed. It also features its own private bathroom equipped with a shower and bathtub combination.

The fourth bedroom is a finished room over the garage and is well-equipped with a queen-sized murphy bed, comfortable seating, and a flat-screen TV.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened porch or sit back and lounge on the spacious back deck. Both offer perfect opportunities to connect with beautiful natural views.

The home is equipped with a washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. Guests do NOT have access to the home's garage.

Please note that this property has an exterior security camera that views the home's front entrance. This camera serves to protect both the property owner and rental guests.

No pets allowed.

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $300. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours!

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

The home was perfect for us!

Our family of 7 stayed at the 256 Governors home at the end of August and we had room for more people. It was our first time renting a home and our teen son said, "This house is bougie. We don't deserve this." It was also our first time to the island. The home was perfect for us, and an ideal location to visit Kiawah, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Savannah, Hilton Head and Tybee Island. We also rented bikes to ride to the beach Boardwalks which was a beautiful 10 min ride through the Golf Course.

the cleaning job was impeccable!

We were visiting to celebrate a family member's birthday, which happens to be July 4th. The house itself is spacious and the cleaning job was impeccable. The photos were a very real representation of the space. It was comfortable and everything you'd need for a short-term stay was available. The proximity to the beach was excellent - about a 5 min drive. And the bonus of going to Night Heron Park to watch the fireworks and celebrate took the trip to the next level. To have all of this in 1 short trip - with a toddler and pre-schooler - was nothing short of phenomenal. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!! The only thing I wish we knew ahead of time was the prevalence of biking as transportation. Definitely an area where biking is the preferred and convenient method for short trips around the island. Love the sustainability factor of this!

Nicely decorated and very clean.

This property is huge. Looks just as big in person as in the photos. Located right on the bike path, so very easy to hop on bikes to the beach and around the island. Nicely decorated and very clean. We all had a great time!

This was by far the best stocked rental we have ever had. You could want for anything and it was in this house. Very clean, spacious, very comfortable. Would recommend highly. 5 stars.
