Description

Take advantage of special beach gear and bike credit! This lovely Kiawah Island vacation rental, located in West Beach, was fully renovated in 2020. This home is in an ideal location for traveling to Freshfields Village or Charleston, and it is close to the Cougar Point Clubhouse. It is a 5-minute easy bike ride to the beach via the bike path.

Welcome to paradise! Walk into the home and immediately notice the open floorplan and abundance of natural light. The living area, directly in front, hosts a comfortable couch, 4 swivel chairs, and a TV perfect for watching the big game or a movie. The living area is open to the dining and kitchen areas. The dining room table can sit 8 guests comfortably. The fully-equipped renovated kitchen features a center island with barstool seating for 3, white cabinetry, granite countertops, and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove. The dining area offers easy access to the screened porch and back deck that offers gorgeous marsh views and comfortable furnishings. Guests are welcome to use the gas grill on the back deck. A half bathroom completes the first-floor common space.

All bedrooms received new furniture, new carpet, and TVs with Rokus as of 2020. The first-floor master suite features a Sleep Number king-sized bed and private bathroom with shower and soaking tub. The second-floor master suite features a king-sized bed and private bathroom. The third bedroom features one queen-sized bed and a private bathroom. The fourth bedroom has a unique bedding set-up with two twins over a king-sized bed (see photos). This bedroom has access to a brand new (2024) hall bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, tankless water heater, and high-speed wireless internet. A pack-n-play is available but guests are responsible for bringing sheets. Kitchen spices and coffee filters are provided. As an alternative to cable, guests can enjoy 70+ channels including local Charleston channels via YouTube TV and the ability to use the ROKU equipped TVs to access your own personal streaming accounts.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $300. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours!

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

In accordance with the Town of Kiawah Island Short Term Rental Ordinance, all guests understand that the approved number of bedrooms is 4, the maximum allowed occupancy is 10, and the maximum allowed number of vehicles is 4. Children under the age of 2 are not included in calculating maximum occupancy.

Would definitely stay again!

We had such a wonderful time on Kiawah and this home felt like a luxury stay. We loved everything from the incredibly comfortable beds to the large kitchen to the peaceful setting. Host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic place

548 Oyster Rake is a fantastic place to base yourself on Kiawah. The house has everything you need. It’s easy to access the beach via bike or a walk. You’re very close to shopping and restaurants as well. Our group loved the house.

Beautiful Stay in Kiawah

This house was gorgeous. It was full of many amenities that were useful, (washer/dryer, kitchen appliances). The house was very spacious and had a great selection of rooms with different size beds. It was clean and both the arrival and departure instructions were very easy to follow, which allowed us to maximize our time in beautiful Kiawah!

Perfect pre-christmas get away!

We pre-gamed Christmas with friends and family. There were 7 of us and we never felt on tip of each other. The house was spacious, yet cozy. We would definitely come back to 548!

Great Kiawah Experience

Great Kiawah Stay!

548 Oyster Rake Drive couldn’t have been much better. The house was recently renovated and it was done very tastefully in beach themes. This was one of the best equipped houses we have stayed in during our 20 years coming to Kiawah. A 5 - 7 min bike ride to the beach and the only downside is crossing a busy road which could be tricky with smaller children. Otherwise a quite location and easy in/out near the entrance to Kiawah so easy trip to Freshfields for shopping or dining. All in all a terrific experience!
