This Kiawah Island vacation rental, located in Vanderhorst Plantation, boasts 4 bedrooms, gorgeous views of tidal marsh and Cinder Creek, and a private pool. The home is located behind the second gate of Kiawah and is a 10-minute bike ride to the beach.

This home has the finest finishes throughout and was professionally decorated and furnished by a top NYC designer. Walk in through the front door and immediately notice the hardwood floors, reclaimed wood ceiling beams, shiplap walls, built-in custom cabinetry, TV, large windows, and wet bar with copper sink, built-in wine cooler, and icemaker in the living area. An open floorplan allows easy flow to the dining area which has a table and chairs that seats 10. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and features subway tile and a large center island with barstool seating for 4.

The first-floor master suite features a king-sized bed, TV, and a beautiful spacious private bathroom with a walk-in shower and two sinks. Upstairs, you will find 3 additional bedrooms, all with updated private bathrooms. The second and third bedroom both feature king-sized beds and the fourth bedroom features 2 full over full bunk beds. There is also second living area with a queen sleeper sofa, full bathroom, TV, and wet bar with mini fridge.

Outside, the screened porch, covered porch, back deck, fenced in back yard, and private pool invites you to sit back and unwind. Whether you are watching TV on the screened porch, dining al fresco at the table, cooking with the gas grill on the back deck or swimming in the 12’x22’ pool, you will enjoy the beautiful creek and marsh views.

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. Guests can enjoy a friendly game of ping-pong in the garage area.

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $300. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours!

This property's pool has a gas heater, so the pool may be heated in cooler months for $100/per day for the entire stay. It can take 24-48 hours for the pool water to reach the optimal temperature of 85-87 degrees. When the air temperature falls below 55 degrees, typically November-March, pool heaters have difficulty achieving the optimal temperature. In this case, pool heating will not be available.

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

We will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed this stay for Labor Day weekend. We had our teenage children with us and it was perfect for them as well. The home was clean, the pool was fantastic, the location was great to access all parts of the island. We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely, Quiet Home

The enclosed patio and outdoor area with heaters were the highlight of this home. In addition, the kitchen/great room area was perfect for our group. Unfortunately, the pool heater was inoperable, however we were refunded right away for that expense. Great house, the bedding/linens could use an upgrade in comparison to the type of home this is.

Great Kiawah Retreat

Typically stay at the Sanctuary, but decided to rent a house during these COVID times. Would 100% do it again, and this house was perfect. Great location, easy to bike to the beach. Pool was great for after the beach and evening. Decor in the house is nice and perfect for a family. Fair warning though, bring bug spray for the pool/deck area

Loved Our Stay!

Beautiful Home - Spacious and beautifully decorated. Quiet street. Fully equipped kitchen. Loved the screened in porch and the outdoor area, and the built in heaters made it even more enjoyable. Only disappointment was not having the pool heated after requesting it - AE promptly took care it. And the security sensor went off the first night, but maintenance responded right away. We’ll test that pool on our next trip!

Another great week in Kiawah!

This is the first time we rented through Akers Ellis. From beginning to end it was a great experience. We loved the pool and quick bike ride to the beach. The air conditioning was not working when we arrived. Everyone was very responsive and communicative and had it fixed as soon as possible.
