Description

Take advantage of special beach gear and bike credit! This Kiawah Island vacation rental features 5 bedrooms, a private saltwater pool, large deck, screened porch, and outdoor shower. The home is a short 2-minute bike ride or 5-minute walk to the beach.

The main living space is ideal for large families with comfortable seating, a mounted TV, and access to the back deck. The fully equipped kitchen features granite counters, vast cabinet space, stainless steel appliances, a wine cooler, and 4 barstools for seating around the island. The dining room has a table and chairs that seat 8 and is the perfect place for family meals while on vacation.

On the first floor there is a master bedroom that features a king bed, TV, access to the pool area, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower, his and her sinks, and a large walk-in closet. Also downstairs, is a small room with twin over twin bunks and mounted TV that is right next door to the half bathroom. Upstairs, you will find the remaining 3 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. The third bedroom features a king bed, TV, and bathroom with 2 sinks and a shower/tub combo. The fourth bedroom features a king bed, TV, and bathroom with a walk-in shower. The fifth and final bedroom features a king bed, 2 twin beds, TV, and bathroom with walk-in shower.

The outdoor space is sure to please with the saltwater pool, large deck, screened porch with table and chairs, TV, and ceiling fan, and an outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off after a trip to the beach! There is also a wooden platform in the backyard by the pond perfect for taking in the view or fishing.

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet.

This pool has a gas heater, so the pool may be heated in cooler months for $75/per day for the entire stay. It can take 24-48 hours for the pool water to reach the optimal temperature of 85-87 degrees. When the air temperature falls below 55 degrees, typically November-March, pool heaters have difficulty achieving the optimal temperature. In this case, pool heating will not be available.

The dimensions of the pool are about 8.5' W x 15.5' L.

PLEASE NOTE: The new owners have made significant upgrades to the home. Noteworthy highlights include: repainted entire house; new furniture, rugs, and decor throughout; new refrigerator, new bedroom furniture and bedding; new Weber grill; plus supplies and household items are replaced and modernized as needed.

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $400. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, and more – the choice is yours!

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

All was perfect!!

It was one of our family’s most fun trips!! We had a great time and enjoyed all the house and area had to offer! Our grandkids especially had fun in the pool and the adults loved sitting and watching on the beautiful deck. All was perfect!!

Loved It

We loved the home and the property. We had a problem with 2 of the bikes. VayKGear responded to my voicemail within a very short time. They were extremely cordial and attended to the problem within 12 hours. Loved everything about this vacation!

Perfect Spot for Multi Family

The house was large and well furnished. We had three families staying the week, plenty of room for all the kids and adults. The two refrigerators was a huge bonus and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses and cookware. The pool was smaller than expected but was nice for a cool off. The kids loved the outdoor shower. The house was a 5 min bike ride to beach access 30 and 15min ride to night heron. Would rent again !

Great! Had a small issue with pool heat (think it was pool maintenance co) but finally addressed.
The house was in a great location - on pond and short walk to beach. Very clean, well supplied and comfortable.
Would definitely rent through Aikers Ellis in future.

Wonderful Getaway

We had the best experience from start to finish. We has an issue with our heat and Akers Ellis and the heating and air people came out immediately and could not have been nicer and more willing to get the issue fixed in a hurry. Thank You for that. Bike rental credit was a great add on and bikes were in great condition and very comfortable. We would come back again and hopefully stay in the same house, if not the same house we would rent and recommend from Akers Ellis again!

More than words!

Three generations including 7 adults and 5 kids aged 7-14 enjoyed a lovely week in Aug 2020. While we’ve been vacationing at Kiawah together for some time, this was the first year staying in one house. We were accommodated beautifully, the kitchen was so well appointed, and the small pool was the hit if the week! The kitchen hadn’t been cleaned to our satisfaction at check-in so we made a quick call to Akers Ellis and they came within minutes to clean and sanitize the entire area. A quick walk or bike ride to the beach...you can’t go wrong with 174 Glen Abbey!

Happy with our choice

Our group was 2 parents with 3 grown children, one girlfriend, one spouse. We have rented in other localities with this group of people before. This house was the best choice we'd ever made. Lots of room to stretch out, cooked all meals in (because of Covid) and the kitchen was well laid out and supplied with cooking utensils, glasses, dishes, serving dishes. Nice screened in eating , large dining room for 8 as part of kitchen, dining room, great room. 8 minute bike ride to beach, no problem. Highly recommend. Only downside was poor cleaning job on floors, kitchen counters. Bathrooms ok.
